Schöneberg, for a subletter
The old West Berlin centre of gravity, and still the best-balanced district in the city for anyone who wants to be central without the Friedrichshain volume. Nollendorfplatz and Akazienstraße are the cores. Asks sit around the city median; stock is a healthy mix of WG rooms and whole flats, and posts tend to stay open a day longer than they do east of the canal.
Getting one
