Schöneberg, for a subletter
The old centre of West Berlin, and still the best-balanced district in the city for anyone who wants to be central without the Friedrichshain crowds. Nollendorfplatz and Akazienstraße are the cores. Asking prices sit around the city median, stock is a good mix of WG rooms and whole flats, and posts tend to stay open a day longer than they do east of the canal.
Getting one
Most sublets in Schöneberg are taken within hours of being posted, wherever they were posted.
